Mr. Ashok Kamath
Chairman |

| Ashok Kamath has been Chairman since July I, 2008. He has been actively involved in the strategic planning, analysis and expansion of programmes at Akshara Foundation since 2003. An alumnus of IIT, Mumbai, he was formerly the Managing Director of the Indian operation of Analog Devices. He opted to leave behind a successful career in the corporate sector and involve himself in the development sector. Ashok is also a trustee of Pratham Books. |

Ms. Kanchan Bannerjee
Managing Trustee |

| Kanchan Bannerjee is the Managing Trustee. She is a sociologist and is trained in communications and teaching children with learning disabilities. She has been associated with the planning and execution of several of Akshara Foundation’s programmes since 2000. |

| Madhukar is a founding member of Akshara Foundation and was instrumental in the growth of the organization in its formative years. He was an Edward S. Mason Fellow at Harvard University and is currently Director, PRS Legislative Research, which is being incubated at the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. |

Ms. Suzanne Singh |
|
| Suzanne Singh has been associated with Akshara Foundation since 2003. A management graduate, she has over 12 years experience in the advertising and marketing fields. She is actively involved in strategy planning and managing the communication needs of Akshara Foundation. She is also the Managing Trustee of Pratham Books and a member of the board of United Way, Bangalore |

| Currently employed as Member of the Board, Human Resources, Infosys Technologies Ltd, Mr. Mohandas Pai has been associated with Akshara Foundation since 2003. Mr. Pai has a B.Com and LLB from Bangalore University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. |
